November 28, 2017 - Lamont County Alberta - Alberta Midland Railway Terminal Ltd. (AMRT) is pleased to announce the completion of its rail logistics centre located within Alberta’s Industrial Heartland - Canada’s largest hydrocarbon processing hub and home to world-class energy and agricultural industries.

Strategically located on Canadian National’s Prairie North Line between Winnipeg and Edmonton at Lamont, Alberta, AMRT is designed to store up to 850 rail cars and is located in close proximity to regional customers who safely ship LPG, petroleum products, and plastics by rail. In addition to car storage services, AMRT can provide multi-commodity transloading services from truck to rail.

“We are looking forward to working with our anchor customers whose support – together with that of our shareholders, CN, and Lamont County – has allowed us to complete this world-class logistics facility” said Darcy Heggie, AMRT President and CEO. “Our storage, switching, trans-loading, car repair services and further land development opportunity has great potential to unlock value for shippers in the Edmonton region. We look forward to the potential of developing additional partnerships as we open our facility for service.”
